A week long campaign was organised from 15-23 January 2021 across the globe by Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network and other Palestinian organisations demanding the release of Ahmad Sa’adat who held in Israeli jail for resisting Israeli brutal military occupation of Palestine. Sa’adat is a revolutionary-national liberation movement leader and the General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, He was sentenced to 30 years in Israeli prison on 25 December 2008 and he was kept in solitary confinement in an Israeli prison for a long period. Inside the prison, Sa’adat continued to resist the Israeli occupation and inhuman treatment meted out to Palestinian political prisoners through hunger strike.
The International Week of Action to Free Ahmad Sa’adat also called for release of all Palestinian political prisoners, including hundreds of children currently held in Israeli prisons.
