CPI(ML) Condemns Rising Caste and Communal Violence in UP
A CPI(ML) investigative team visited Amtaura village on December 6 in the Gida police jurisdiction of Gorakhpur, where feudal forces brutally shot and killed Shivdhani Nishad (55) on December 2. His wife, also injured in the attack, is currently hospitalized in Gorakhpur Medical College. The assailants, belonging to an upper-caste fedual elements, also set the family’s house ablaze.
CPI(ML) State Secretary Sudhakar Yadav shared the findings, highlighting how feudal criminals, emboldened by political protection, are terrorizing marginalized communities in the Chief Minister’s own district. He condemned the police for their inaction during the attack and accused them of aiding the perpetrators by safeguarding their cattle and property instead of protecting the victims.
The party said that local authorities expedited the victim’s cremation under police force to suppress dissent and pressured the grieving family into silence. Despite demands, the Chief Minister, who was present in Gorakhpur on the day of the incident, did not meet the victims.
The investigative team, led by CPI(ML) State Standing Committee member Rajesh Sahni, visited the family and pledged support. The team identified feudal dominance and police negligence as key factors behind the crime. It demanded Rs. 1 crore compensation, a government job, 10 decimals of land, a PM Awas (housing), licensed firearms for the family for protection, and strict action against the culprits and negligent police officials.
CPI(ML) Condemns Train Murder as a Result of BJP’s Hate Politics
In a separate statement, Comrade Sudhakar Yadav condemned the murder of a 23-year-old Muslim youth aboard the Begumpura Express near Nihalgarh station. He attributed the killing, along with injuries to the victim’s two brothers, to the BJP-RSS's communal hate politics. The party demanded a criminal case against the assailants, free treatment for the injured, and compensation for the victim’s family.
